Dr Luc-André Granier,
MD, PhD : CEO
25 years of experience in big pharma, biotech
and CROs, an extensive
experience in managing high risk
programs of Novel Chemical Entities (NCE) in Central Nervous System.
Dr. Granier
was a former member of FORENAP a well known French CRO specialising in
clinical
development of CNS drugs performing clinical services for pharmaceutical
&
biotechnology companies. Dr Granier was head of the clinical development
unit
managing and running clinical trials from phase I to phase III in
Neurosciences.
He was then Senior Clinical Research Physician/Clinical
Neuropsychopharmacologist
at Eli Lilly & Co. He has run with success the proof of concept study for
duloxetine
(Cymbalta, Xeristar, Yentreve), approved by the FDA in autumn 2004. Dr
Granier
joined Synt:em in 2001 as Vice President, Clinical Development and
Medical
Director where he was in charge of the general clinical
development
strategy for the company.
In
the
last 20 years Dr Granier has been in charge and strongly involved in
developing
various exciting new program in Neurosciences, including development of
neurokinin antagonist (NK 1, NK 2 and NK 3), metabotropic and
ionotropic
Glutamate receptor agonist and antagonist (kaynate and NMDA antagonist,
group 1
metabotropic glutamate antagonist, group 2 metabotropic glutamate
agonist and
antagonist) and serotonin receptor agonist and antagonist.
Dr. Granier received his M.D.
and his PhDs.
from the University Louis Pasteur of Strasbourg, France.
Mrs
Caroline Roussel-Maupetit : COO
13 years of experience in
Biotech - Extensive experience in project
management, sub-contracting early clinical projects and contract manufacturing.
Mrs Roussel was the
co-founder of Synt:em a French biotech company
where she held the position of Vice-President, Director of Operations. She was mainly in charge of the pharmaceutical
development
of candidate drugs in pre clinical/clinical development in the field
of acute
pain, neuropathic pain and oncology.
Mrs.
Roussel was trained as an engineer in industrial biology
from the University of Compiègne and
graduated from the European Institute
for Entrepreneurial Management school in Montpellier.
In 1993, she was sales manager at Protéine Performance
interfacing
between researchers and partners from industry and academia for
recombinant
protein expression projects. In
addition, she has strong marketing and sales experience with a variety
of
biotechnology products. From 1995 to
1999, she acted as Marketing Director for Synt:em in particular she was
in
charge of the custom peptide business unit, setting up the facilities
and was
strongly involved in research and development project coordination.
